Family[]
Shinichiro Sano[]
Shinichiro was the first family Izana had after being orphaned and loved him dearly. He exploded at him when he found out they weren't actually real brothers; which lead to him feeling extremely lonely again. He later took over Shin's gang.
Manjiro Sano[]
Izana was jealous of Mikey of how Shin gave him affection also, wanting to be the sole brother to Shin when he found out that he was not related to Shin his jealousy strengthened. Ultimately wanting to destroy Mikey.
Emma Sano[]
Emma and Izana lived together until Izana was brought to the orphanage, promising they'll be together again. In his last moments, he said Emma's name as hints of his regret about what he did and still loves her as his sister.
Black Dragon[]
Seishu Inui[]
Izana and Inupi met when they were kids at Shinichiro's bike shop. Inupi served under Izana as his right-hand man during the eighth generation of the Black Dragons. Inupi later disliked Izana for the way he changed the gang Shin worked hard for.
Shion Madarame[]
Tenjiku[]
Kakucho[]
Izana and Kakucho met at the orphanage. Kakucho was fashioning a makeshift grave for his parents when Izana approached him, complimenting his scar and asking what he was doing. When Kakucho tells Izana to leave him alone because he will be bullied too if he is seen with him, Izana destroys the makeshift grave. He tells Kakucho to forget about the dead and live as his servant which Kakucho agrees to.
The boys grew up like siblings[1] with their shared dream to create a kingdom for those who have no relatives, a kingdom which they would call Tenjiku. Tenjiku later became Izana’s own gang with Kakucho being his strongest man. According to Ran, Kakucho wasn’t a delinquent until Izana ordered him to join Tenjiku[2].
Though generally a moral person who initially questions Izana's methods, Kakucho obeyed Izana’s every order because of his undying loyalty to him, going as far as to shoot Takemichi upon Izana’s command.[3]
When Kisaki began firing at Kakucho during the fight between Toman and Tenjiku, Izana's body moved on autopilot jumping in front and ultimately killing him. In his dying moments, he smiled telling Kakucho that he was the only one he had, making Kakucho cry and remembering their childhood. When Izana took his last breath, Kakucho shifted towards Izana and grabbed his hand as the blood from their wounds mingled on the ground [4], resulting in them sharing blood in a literal sense. Kakucho hoped he would die along Izana so that the latter didn't need to be alone in the afterlife. In the end, Kakucho survived. After his release from the hospital, Kakucho created a makeshift grave for Izana like he had done with his parents, wishing him to rest well.
In his last moments, Izana realized that he was never alone. He came to see Kakucho, who was always by his side, as family.[5] Through their shared fates, they were connected beyond blood.[4]
Yasuhiro Muto[]
Kanji Mochizuki[]
Ran Haitani[]
Being a part of the vicious S-62 generation, Ran recognized Izana as his leader and served him faithfully. When Izana got shot, he was visibly shocked.
After Izana had died and Kakucho had passed out, Ran was the one who sent Izana off. He admired Izana and Kakucho's way of living. This must have been due to the fact that Ran and his younger brother Rindo had survived in the delinquent world together themselves.[6] Along with the other members from the Vicious Generation, Ran stayed behind after the battle between Tenjiku and Toman. He was arrested showing a thoughtful, sad expression on his face.
Rindo Haitani[]
Just like his older brother Ran, Rindo was a part of the Vicious Generation and served under Izana. While less obvious about his admiration for Izana and Kakucho, he must have held both of them in high regard as well. Shocked by Izana being shot, Rindo is shown being deep in thought during his arrest. Maybe Izana's death made him realize something.[7]
